Civic Engagement and the Red Cross Club host several blood drives with the American Red Cross each academic year on the Atlanta Campus. The mission of the American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Student clubs that would like to co-sponsor a blood drive on the Atlanta Campus should call 404-413-1550 or email Civic Engagement. Co-sponsoring organization responsibilities include advertising the event and providing volunteers to staff the event on the day of the blood drive.

Civic Engagement hosts several blood drives with Lifesouth Community Blood Centers each academic year on all the Perimeter campuses. The mission of Lifesouth Community Blood Centers is to provide a safe blood supply that meets or exceeds the needs in each community and to provide a variety of services in support of ongoing and emerging blood and transfusion-related activities.
LifeSouth came to the Atlanta community in 1995 at the request of three hospitals. Lifesouth now serves more than 25 hospitals throughout Georgia and they are the sole or primary supplier for multiple hospitals in the metro Atlanta area.
