In 2013-14, the Volunteer Rewards Program will include a reflection portion. Reflection is an important piece of the process of service-learning and allows students to take the necessary time to process their experiences and look critically at the social structures which play into social issues.
Students who log volunteer hours and write reflections on their service experiences on Volunteer Solutions are automatically entered in a drawing each semester to win prizes. Past rewards have included:
Round-trip AirTran airline tickets
$250, $100, and $50 textbook scholarships
$100 gift card for the University Bookstore
$25 Panther Cards
Quiznos gift certificates
Smoothie King gift certificates
