Panther Cares Program
All Georgia State University student organizations can now organize their own service projects. To find a student organization, students can search in OrgSync. Through the Panther Cares program, groups can submit a project to be approved by Civic Engagement, and Civic Engagement will help implement it.
Purpose: The Panther Cares program is an ongoing service initiative that Civic Engagement created to become more involved with student organizations’ volunteer and community outreach.
How to get involved: Student organizations must submit a proposal to Civic Engagement at least one month in advance of the community service event or project. The proposal should contain the date, location, time, estimated budget, theme and a description of the service opportunity and how Civic Engagement can help.
When: Any student organization can submit a proposal for review each month.
What will Civic Engagement do to help? Civic Engagement will select the best proposal submitted for the month and will assist with the service event in areas such as volunteer recruitment, advertisement, project planning, purchasing supplies and transportation (when appropriate).
