Civic Engagement proudly recognizes our Fall 2015 graduate, Hala Abdullahi, who will be accepting her degree this December. We predict a bright future for Hala as she embarks on her post-college career.

Hala Abdullahi, an accounting major, transferred from Georgia Perimeter College to Georgia State University in the Fall of 2013.

..transferring was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Georgia State University opened the doors for a lot of opportunities for myself.

As a student assistant in Civic Engagement, Hala assisted with Federal Work-Study duties, various office related events and volunteer projects outside of the office. Working as student assistant with Civic Engagement taught Hala about the importance of leadership and giving back to the community which are skills she will be able to take with her and apply to her post collegiate career.

After graduating, Hala will travel the world before embarking on a highly competitive internship with accounting firm KPMG. At the end of her internship, Hala will return to Georgia State University as a candidate for her masters in professional accountancy.

We wish Hala the best of luck in her future endeavors! Her bright smile, dedication, hard work and pleasing personality will be missed but not forgotten.
